  2. You need 3-4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  3. You need 1 TB of olive oil
  4. Prepare 1 cup of frozen peas and carrots
  5. You need 1/2-3/4 lb. of Orecchiette pasta
  6. You need 1 cup of grated Parmesan or Locatelli cheese
  7. Prepare 5 of fresh basil leaves, torn
  8. It’s 1 TB of lemon juice
  9. It’s 1/2 cup of pasta water
  10. You need 1 tsp. of lemon zest
Step to make Italian Sausage with Orecchiette:
  1. Sauté sausage and crushed garlic in olive oil on med-hi heat until browned, about 5-6 minute
  2. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, cook the pasta according to package direction
  3. Add peas and carrots to the sausage and continue sautéing on med-hi heat for another 2-3 minute
  4. Once pasta is al dente, add the remaining ingredients to the sausage and serve.
