I grew up in the south, and this is the only dressing I knew existed until I was grown. I eat others now, but I still use this one a lot. Then came the candied yams, the potatoes and the endless stream of dishes brought by the family.

  2. You need of stalks of celery chopped
  3. You need of cornbread dressing
  4. It’s of eggs as a binder
  5. It’s of boiled eggs
  6. You need of turkey neck
  7. You need of turkey gizzard
  8. Prepare of turkey heart
  9. It’s of water
  10. It’s of poulrty seasonings
  11. It’s of chicken broth

My Mom makes a dressing like this, but she adds in some of the giblets from the stock she make Every recipe may be a little different, but this is dressing. She told me they put transvestites in jail. When that summer come I went to Biloxi Mississippi to spend the summer with my aunt and uncle.

Step to make My moms dressing:
  1. Preheat oven 350° Fahrenheit
  2. Take the giblets from the turkey and neck put into 3 quarts water and bring to boil
  3. Chop the onions and celery boil 4 eggs let cool set aside
  4. Pick the meat off the neck of turkey put back into boiling stock of giblets
  5. Add onions and celery to giblet stock let cook about 30 minutes
  6. Mix the poultry seasonings, celery, onions, stock and broth with dressing along with the giblet stock along with eggs for binding , make sure the giblet stock is cooled down or you will have scrambled binders
  7. Mix all together really well add to an oven safe pan raise the temperature to 375°Fahrenheit bake as temperature rises for an hour bottom rack of oven
  8. Last 15 minutes of cooking put on top rack of oven
  9. Helpful hint my mom said save the chicken broth for last to cool down the giblet stock so binding eggs dont scramble
