This Japanese crab and cucumber salad is absolutely phenomenal. Its so simple to make but tastes SO GOOD! Following the popularity of everything Japanese from Pokemon Go to Sushi, here is my take on a Kani style Japanese Crab

Tossed in a ponzu mayonnaise A colorful salad featuring imitation crab and crunchy vegetables in a mayonnaise-based dressing.   11. Prepare 3/4 cup of panko bread crumbs

Kani salad is one of those salads, which I tend to make and keep in the fridge to enjoy the rest of the day or I make it when I have visitor The easy to remember word Kani means crab in Japanese. If you ask for a kani salad at a restaurant in Japan youre likely to get some puzzled looks before being served a leafy lettuce salad with some real crab meat on top. Kani Salad tastes just like the dish you order at your neighborhood Japanese restaurant.

Step to make Kani (Crab) Salad:
  1. Whisk the first 7 ingredients for the dressing and set aside.
  2. Shred the crab sticks by hand pulling apart each strand.
  3. Juilenne the mango and the cucumber avoiding the pit and seed
  4. Place all ingredients in a bowl and toss with the dressing.
  5. When ready to serve top with panko.

To make the Kani Salad shred the crab sticks by hand and place in a large bowl. Making Kani Salad really requires simple ingredient A typical Kani Salad includes imitation crab sticks, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, carrot, and Japanese mayo. But if you want to bring it to another.
