Add macaroni and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally. Drain the macaroni and add to the chop suey. Heat shortening in a large, deep skillet. Add celery, hot water, salt and pepper.

  4. Add the rest of the vegetable Cook til vegetables are almost done. DO NOT OVERCOOKED!
  5. Disperse cornstarch in 1/2 cup water and add to mixture. Finish with ajinomoto (if desired). Serve hot!
