The Ingredients needed to make American Brownies:

1. You need 1 cup of sugar
2. Prepare 2 of eggs
3. It’s 1/2 cup of cocoa
4. It’s 2/3 cup of plain flour
5. You need 1/2 cup of margarine
6. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla
7. It’s 1/2 tsp of baking powder
8. It’s 1/2 tsp of salt
9. It’s 1 of icing sugar

Step to make American Brownies:

1. Mix sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla
2. Sift dry products together im a separate bowl. Then gradually add to margarine and sugar mixture, stirring in till combined
3. Spread into well greased 20 x 20 tray
4. Bake in 180°C oven for 20-30mins or until pulling away from sides of pan
5. Remove and allow to cool. When cool add a dusting of icing sugar
