I love it, but I prefer calves liver which I think is more tender than beef I like it thinly sliced, I soak it in milk before cooking to take away that metallic bitter taste it can have, and I take care not I love mine smothered with caramelized onions (I sometimes add bacon) and I make a gravy to serve with it. The Ingredients need to make Beef Liver and Onions in Gravy:
  1. It’s 1 lb. of Beef Livers, cut into pieces
  2. It’s 1 of Yellow Onion, sliced
  3. It’s of Self Rising Flour
  4. Prepare 1 tsp. of Garlic Powder
  5. It’s to taste of Salt and Black Pepper,
  6. You need 3 Cups of Beef Broth

A variation that uses the diet black cherry cola is provided at the end of this recipe. Sauté onions to a golden brown and layer liver and onions in alternating layers in a pot.   3. Add a cup or two of beef broth and make a slurry with a half cup of broth and flour, mix and add to the skillet. Stir then let simmer til gravy is thickened. Then serve immediately…I serve this over Mashed Potatoes or Rice ☺️
