The Ingredients needed to make Deseart for dinner Basondi:
  1. It’s 2 litre of milk, full cream
  2. It’s 2 tbsp of cashew / kaju, chopped
  3. You need 1/2 cup of sugar
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of almonds / badam, chopped
  5. You need 2 tbsp of pistachios, chopped
  6. It’s 1/4 tsp of saffron / kesar
  7. You need 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder / elachi powder

Basundi is a popular Indian dessert consisting of sweetened, thickened milk with the addition of chopped nuts such as almonds Basundi is similar to a North Indian dessert known as rabri, the only difference between the two being the texture - while rabri ha milk based desserts are a very popular recipe in india. but the milk basundi is hugely popular in gujarat differ from each other. basundi sweet is thicker and requires more time to attain the consistency compared to rabdi recipe. moreover, the rabdi recipe i Basundi is a milk based dessert with simple ingredients like sugar and nut Basundi should not be too thick. Served chilled and can also be served warm with Puri.

Step to make Deseart for dinner Basondi:
  1. Firstly, in a large kadai boil 2-litre milk stirring occasionally. once the milk comes to a boil, add 2 tbsp chopped cashew, almonds and pistachio stir well making sure milk doesnt stick to the bottom.
  2. Boil the milk on low till milk reduce keep stirring in between to avoid sticking till the milk reduces to quarter. now add sugar and saffron and mix well.
  3. Boil for another 5 minutes or till the milk thickens completely. now add cardamom powder and mix well. finally, serve basundi chilled.
