A quick fried rice like you get at your favorite Chinese restaurant. A couple of eggs, baby carrots, peas and soy sauce is all you need. This Thai fried rice is called American fried rice (Khao Pad American) in Thailand, because it uses ingredients that are considered American, like ketchup and bacon.

The Ingredients need to make Fried Rice:
  1. Prepare 3 cups of cold/leftover cooked white rice
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of butter
  3. You need 1 of medium chopped yellow onion
  4. It’s 2 stalks of chopped celery
  5. It’s 2 cloves of minced garlic
  6. It’s 2 of carrots, diced into small cubes
  7. Prepare 1 1/2 cups of fresh broccoli, cut small
  8. You need 1 cup of frozen peas
  9. You need 3 of eggs, beaten
  10. You need 1/4-1/2 cup of soy sauce
  11. Prepare of Pepper

All ingredients should be prepped in advance cause once you start frying the rice, it goes fa Fried rice is a rice dish consisting of rice fried together with aromatics, vegetables, and protein. Originating in China around the sixth century, fried rice is popular in many Asian cuisines as a staple side dish served with almost every main. Baking the rice on a sheet pan guarantees more of the crispy, crunchy bits that make fried rice the perfect food.

Step to make Fried Rice:
  1. Use the biggest and deepest skillet you have!
  2. Melt butter
  3. Add onion, garlic,celery and carrot Saute until onions are transparent (about 5 minutes)
  4. Add peas and broccoli and cook for 1 more minute, until peas are thawed.
  5. Push your veggies to one side of your skillet and start to scramble your eggs on the other side. Once eggs are cooked you can blend them in with veggie
  6. Season with pepper
  7. Then add a small amount of rice, and a little soy sauce, small amount of rice and a little soy sauce (keep alternating until its all mixed) you may or may not need to add more soy sauce. Do a taste test at this point to see what you prefer.
  8. Enjoy!!

For this recipe, the older and drier the rice the better. Remove from skillet and set aside. Set out additional soy sauce on the table, if desired. Add egg, and cook until scrambled, stirring occasionally. Remove egg, and transfer to a separate plate.
