The Ingredients needed to make Trevally Tatsuta-agé:
- Prepare 500 g of Trevally Fillet(s)
- It’s of Potato Starch Flour
- It’s of Oil for frying
- You need of <‘Tatsuta’ Marinade>
- You need 3 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- Prepare 2 tablespoons of Mirin
- It’s 2 tablespoons of Sake (Rice Wine)
- You need 1 of thumb size piece Ginger grated
Step to make Trevally Tatsuta-agé:
- Make the marinade by mixing all marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
- Cut Trevally Fillets into bite size piece Add to the marinade, cover and place in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Drain the marinade, then coat the Trevally pieces with Potato Starch
- Heat Oil to 170°C to 180°C. Deep fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden. Take them out and lay them on a rack to drain the excess oil.
