Gomoku Chirashizushi

The Ingredients need to make Gomoku Chirashizushi:
  1. Prepare of [Toppings]
  2. It’s 1/2 of (approximately 70 g) carrot
  3. It’s 4 of dried shiitake mushroom
  4. Prepare 50 g of lotus root
  5. It’s 2 sheets of deep fried tofu
  6. It’s 1 tub of koya tofu (freeze-dried tofu)
  7. Prepare 250 mL of Dashi (A)
  8. You need 3 tbsp of soy sauce (A)
  9. Prepare 3 tbsp of sugar (A)
  10. You need 200 mL of Liquid after soaking shiitake mushrooms (A)
  11. It’s 2 tbsp of mirin (A)
  12. You need 2 tbsp of Sake (A)
  13. It’s 2 of egg with 1 tbsp starch dissolved in 2 tbsp water
  14. You need of Sakura denbu (mashed and seasoned fish with white flesh, optional)
  15. You need 8 of boiled prawn
  16. You need of Snow peas Adjust to suit your needs (boiled, optional)
  17. You need of [Sushi Rice]
  18. You need 700 g of uncooked rice
  19. Prepare 700 mL of water
  20. Prepare 80 mL of vinegar
  21. It’s 5 tbsp of sugar
  22. It’s 2 tsp of salt
Step to make Gomoku Chirashizushi:
  1. [Ingredients and toppings] Slice boiled prawns into halve
  2. Soak shiitake mushrooms and freeze-dried tofu to reconstitute them. If you have a microwave oven, microwave shiitake mushrooms and water for 3 minutes and leave them 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Cut a carrot and some freeze-dried tofu into thin strip Slice shiitake mushroom Slice lotus root into quarter circle Soak the lotus root in vinegared water to remove bitternes Then drain the vinegared
  4. Keep 50 mL of the liquid after soaking shiitake mushroom
  5. Put [A] in a pot and add carrot, shiitake mushrooms, freeze-dried tofu, lotus roots and deep-fried tofu in the pot. Boil down over medium heat while sometimes mixing.
  6. Beat the egg Heat a frying pan. Grease it with a few drops oil. Spread the beaten egg over the pan and cook over medium-high heat. Slice the cooked egg into thin strip

  8. Dissolve sugar and salt in vinegar and add to the warm rice. Mix them gently.
  9. Add the simmered ingredients to the rice and mix them gently.
  10. Serve in a bowl. Sprinkle sliced egg and denbu. Sprinkle boiled snow peas and prawn
