The Ingredients need to make Homemade Chicken Biryani:
  1. Prepare of Ingredients for chicken marination
  2. You need 1 kg of chicken
  3. Prepare 1 cup of yogurt (small cup)
  4. You need 1 tbsp of garlic paste
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of ginger paste
  6. It’s 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  7. You need as needed of Salt
  8. It’s 1 tbsp of green chillies (chopped)
  9. It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  10. It’s 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  11. Prepare 1 tsp of chopped fresh mint leaves
  12. It’s 1 tsp of chopped fresh coriander leaves
  13. It’s 4 tbsp of biryani masala
  14. Prepare of Ingredients for cooking
  15. Prepare 800 g of sela rice
  16. Prepare 1/2 cup of Oil
  17. Prepare 500 gm of Onion
  18. Prepare 500 gm of tomatoes
  19. You need 5-6 of green chillies
  20. Prepare 3 of tez pata
  21. Prepare 5 of green cardamom
  22. You need 3 of black cardamom
  23. Prepare 2 inch of cinnamon
  24. Prepare 4 of star anaise
  25. It’s 7 of Dried plum
  26. You need 1 tsp of cumin seeds (crushed)
  27. It’s of Orange food colour
  28. Prepare 1 cup of boil gram
  29. It’s as needed of Salt
  30. You need 3-4 tbsp of milk
Step to make Homemade Chicken Biryani:
  1. First of all take a bowl. Add chicken,yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, red chillies, turmeric powder, biryani masala, chopped mint leaves and coriander and mix all the ingredients well. And put for marination for 30 minute
  2. Meanwhile boil rice on high flame. For boiling rice take water, 2tbsp oil and salt in a pot. But remember rice should not be cooked too much.
  3. When it becomes slightly soft turn off the flame and pour rice in a strainer.
  4. Now put pot (degchi) on flame. Add oil heat it than add cinnamon, green and black cardamom, star anaise, cumin seeds, cinnamon, tez pata, dried plum, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Now add onion and fry until its colour change to light golden brown. Then add green chillies and marinated chicken. Stir and cook for 3-5 minute
  6. Now add tomatoes, boil gram, one chicken cube and mix well and cover it for 3-5 minute
  7. Then remove the cover and cook until water dried. But now low the flame.
  8. In a small bowl take milk, add 1/2tsp orange food colour. Mix well and put aside.
  9. Now its turn of layering. Take a deep pot. Greas its surface. Now put rice then made a layer of chicken paste. Again rice and then again chicken paste.
  10. On outer surface again made layer of rice. Now pour the food colour on it and cover it for 10-15 minute And put on low flame.
  11. Now turn off the flame and mix biryani carefully.
  12. A very tasty and special biryani is ready. Garnish with lemon pieces, green chillie You can serve it with raita or whatever you want 😊.
