- You need 1 pound of shredded coleslaw mix
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of sesame seed oil
- Prepare 1/4 cup of honey
- Prepare 1-1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
- It’s of Avocado—————-
- You need 1 tablespoon of diced onions
- It’s 1/4 cup of lemon juice or lime juice
- Prepare 1 of large Hass avocado
- It’s 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
- Prepare 1/3 teaspoon of chopped cilantro
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley flakes
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of granulated garlic
- It’s 1/3 teaspoon of onion powder
- You need of Gravy————————
- Prepare 2/3 cup of all purpose flour
- It’s 3/4 stick of butter
- You need 2 teaspoon of granulated garlic powder
- Prepare 15 ounce of can evaporated milk
- It’s 1 cup of milk
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
- You need of Tortillas—————————
- Prepare 2 cup of all purpose flour
- Prepare 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- It’s 2 tablespoons of lard
- It’s 1 cup of water
- It’s As needed of lard to grease the pan
- You need of Oil——————
- You need As needed of vegetable oil to fry in
I was sceptical upon reading the ingredients, but it was awesome.
The contrast in textures also made.

Step to make Fish Tacos with Grits:
- Mix the ingredients for the tortilla

- Mix the flour, cornbread mix, and cornstarch together. Season the fish. Fry in the hot oil.
- Turn the fish as needed
- When done move to paper towels to absorb excessive amounts of oil. Repeat till done.
- Melt the butter
- Add the garlic mix well.
- Add the flour and cook the flour in the butter.
- Add the milk stirring constantly till its thickened the way you want.
- Scoop out the avocado and mash it up and mix all the ingredients together.
- Mix the coleslaw ingredients together.
- Its ready.
- Spread some of the avocado mixture on the tortilla
- Add some fish.
- Add slaw then the gravy
