The Ingredients needed to make Moru curry / dahi curry:
  1. You need 1 cup of Dahi/curd
  2. It’s 1 of Raw banana
  3. It’s As required of Turmeric powder
  4. You need As required of Salt
  5. Prepare As required of Oil
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup of Coconut
  7. It’s 4 of Green Chillies
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin seeds
  9. It’s Handful of Curry leaves
  10. It’s 2 of Red chillies
  11. You need 1 tsp of Mustard seeds

This moru curry tastes great even with just rice and papadam. This moru curry can be made with coconut or without it but this version I am sharing. yoghurt and one such curry is moru curry recipe. being a south indian, rice has been our staple food and it is very common the moru curry recipe is extremely simple and easy to make, yet i would like to add some tips and suggestion firstly, i would heavily recommend using sour curd or buttermilk for. Moru curry is a very popular dish among the Keralites and is an unavoidable part of their everyday meal. Moru curry can be made with coconut too, but we have made it sans the coconut and trust us it turned out just as good as the one with coconut.

Step to make Moru curry / dahi curry:
  1. Remove the skin of raw banana and cut into piece Take a pressure cooker and add some water and then add bananas along with turmeric powder and salt.Close the lid and pressure cook it for 1 whistle.
  2. Once the bananas are cooked add the curd to the boiling gravy.
  3. Take a mixer and add coconut, cumin seeds,green chilli and make a fine paste.Add the paste to the boiling gravy and mix well.keep it on low flame for 2 min and switch it off.
  4. Take a pan and heat oil add the mustard seed, red chillies and curry leavePour the tadka to the gravy and serve hot.
  5. NoteYou can add 2 pinch of roasted fenugreek powder to the gravy to enhance the taste.

Steamed rice accompanied with this seasoned milk. Moru Curry is a common dish in every Malayalee household. Varieties of moru curries are prepared in Kerala, to name few Kumbalanga moru curry, Chembu morozhichu koottan, Chena moru curry, Chakkakuru moru curry, etc… Well, talking about this recipe, this is one of my favorite that I tend to.
