- You need 6 of medium surmai pieces
- It’s 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder
- It’s 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
- Prepare of Juice from half a lemon
- It’s To taste of Salt
- You need 1 tbsp of red chilli powder
- It’s 1/2 tsp of zeera powder
- It’s 1 tsp of dhania powder
- It’s 1 tsp of garam masala powder
- It’s 1/4 cup of rawa
- You need 1/4 cup of rice flour
- Prepare 1 tsp of chilli flakes
- Prepare as needed of Coriander leave
- Prepare of Little water
- It’s as needed of Oil for frying
Step to make Spicy Surmai Fry from Kerala:
- Marinate the fish with salt, lemon juice and ginger garlic paste and set aside for 15 minute
- Prepare a thick paste of red chilli powder, zeera powder, dhania powder, garam masala powder, little salt and a little bit of
- Coat the fish with the paste.
- Mix Rawa,rice flour, Chilli flakes and a little salt in a plate.
- Coat the surmai well in the Rawa mix and shallow fry till golden and crisp.
- Sprinkle some coriander on it and serve hot. Enjoy!
