Pazham nirachathu is a very popular Malabar Snack,Made with plantain.banana stuffed with sweet coconut filling then fried. some areas people using semi ripe banana for making this delicacy but I always prefer perfectly ripe banana. This is an authentic Malabari dish. I made this dish in a different method.
It is consumed as evening time snack and is made out of a special type of banana called Nendran pazam cultivated only in Kerala and southern parts of Tamil Nadu. Pazham nirachathu is a very tasty and inevitable snack in the Malabar iftar cuisine. Its prepared by stuffing ripe plantain with coconut - nut mixtures and then dipped in a Sweet Pazham Nirachathu Preparation.
Heat the grated coconuts in the pan (Keep sauteing). Pazham Nirachathu is the malayalam word for Stufffed Banana. Add eggs to the roasted coconut and scramble the egg Ripe bananas stuffed with the eggs, cashew nuts and raisins and roasted in rich ghee.
