The Ingredients need to make Mediterranean Hummus with Indian Tadka:
  1. You need 1 cup of mixed beans, soaked overnight
  2. You need 1/4 cup of roasted peanuts
  3. Prepare 2 of green chilies
  4. Prepare 2 of garlic cloves
  5. It’s 1/2 tsp. of cumin powder
  6. It’s 1/2 tsp. of coriander powder
  7. It’s 1 tsp. of pepper powder
  8. You need of juice of half lime
  9. It’s handful of coriander leaves, chopped
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp. of yoghurt
  11. You need to taste of salt
  12. You need 2-3 tbsp. of olive oil
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp. of mustard seeds
  14. You need of few roasted peanuts pinch of red chilli powder to garnish
  15. You need pinch of asafoetida
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp. of cumin seeds
  17. It’s 1 sprig of curry leaves
  18. You need 1 tsp. of urad dal (split black gram)
Step to make Mediterranean Hummus with Indian Tadka:
  1. Pressure cook the mixed beans (lima beans, broad beans, kidney beans white chickpeas) for 10 minutes on a low flame after the first whistle. Drain and keep aside to cool.
  2. Blend along with peanuts, garlic, green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, pepper powder, lime juice and yoghurt into a smooth paste. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds and cumin seed After it stops spluttering, add asafoetida, curry leaves and urad dal.
  4. Saute for a few seconds and pour this tempering over the hummu Garnish with roasted peanuts and a pinch of red chilli powder.
  5. Serve as a dip with veggie crudites or chip They can also be relished as a spread on bread toast and paratha
