The Ingredients needed to make Quick Chana Dal:
  1. You need 1 1/2 cup of chana dal soaked for 30 minutes in warm water
  2. Prepare 1 of medium potato chopped
  3. You need 2 tbsp of grated coconut (optional)
  4. It’s 1 of medium tomatoes chopped
  5. It’s 1 of green chilli chopped
  6. It’s 1 tsp of ginger grated
  7. Prepare 1 tsp of ghee
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of oil
  9. Prepare 1 of bay leaf cut into half
  10. You need 1/3 tsp of turmeric powder
  11. You need 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder
  12. You need 1/3 tsp of cumin powder
  13. It’s 1/2 tsp of coriander powder
  14. You need to taste of Salt
  15. It’s of For fresh garam masala
  16. Prepare 1 inch of cinnamon stick
  17. Prepare 1 of green cardamom
  18. You need 1/2 of black cardamom
  19. You need 2 of cloves
  20. It’s 4 of black pepper corns
Step to make Quick Chana Dal:
  1. Pressure cook soaked chana dal and potato, with turmeric,salt and
  2. Grind tomatoes, coconut, grate ginger, green chilli, cumin and coriander powder to a fine paste.
  3. Light fry the ingredients of garam masala and grind to powder.
  4. Heat ghee and oil. Add panch phutan and bay leave Let them splutter.
  5. Add red chilli powder. Mix the masala paste and saute on low-medium flame, till oil separate.
  6. Add and mix boiled dal, potato and fresh, garam masala powder prepared. Let it boil for 2 minute
